Vahid Sahiholnasab, MD, FRCP

Dr. Vahid Sahiholnasab is a doctor, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Medical Wearable Solutions. He has more than 15 years experience in internal medicine and geriatrics and holds four board certifications from the United States and Canada. Dr. Sahiholnassb is also a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia. This dedication to lifelong learning is one of the reasons why Dr. Sahiholnasab started Medical Wearable Solutions. He is passionate about solving medical problems and feels wearable technology holds great potential to do so.
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Ryan completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at West Vancouver’s Mulgrave School. Following graduation, he attended Whitman College in the United States. The Pre-Med courses he attended at Whitman sparked an interest in preventative medicine, which led to multiple discussions with his business partner and mentor, Dr. Vahid Sahiholnasab. In one of those discussions, the idea of a device like the
EyeForcer emerged as a way to prevent growing medical issues among the mobile generation. Ryan returned to British Columbia and is now studying business.
Peyman Nazmi, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Nazmi Peyman is the Chief Medical Officer at Medical Wearable Solutions. He founded his private practice, Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center, in 2001. Dr. Peyman completed his medical training in pain management at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1997. He has been providing patient care in Richmond, Virginia, and the surrounding areas for over 15 years by providing a variety of spinal interventions. He has been performing injections, Radiofrequency Ablations, and Spinal Cord Stimulator trials to help patients live more comfortable and pain-free lives. He developed and patented the technology with the help of engineers and spinal surgeons.
Edmond Zahedi Ph.D.
Vice President of Research
Edmond Zahedi (Diplome d'Ingénieur and Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies in Electrical Engineering, Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering) brings his expertise in leading Research and Development projects. More specifically, he has expertise in non-invasively recorded electro-optically biosignals.
Besides having industrial experience as a consultant in Biomedical Electronics, Dr. Zahedi has been a faculty member at the following institutions of higher learning: Sharif University of Technology (School of Electrical Engineering), National University of Malaysia (Department of Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering), British Columbia Institute of Technology (Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering) and visiting professor at the University of British Columbia (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering).
Aiming at developing novel non-invasive devices for health and fitness and to ensure that the right problem is being solved, he always starts talking to main stakeholders. From this "Fact Finding" phase, he designs the project for the realization of the end product.
Dr. Zahedi is the co-author of multiple patents and peer-reviewed scientific publications in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
Kari has worked with a number of start-ups and small businesses since 2009 to create and maintain visually appealing communication material on both print and digital platforms. She has helped businesses reach investors and clients alike, through creative content on social media, websites and printed marketing and informational materials. Recently, she has been involved with medical practices and several medical device companies to help them reach their target audience and maximize their potential through above the standard design.
Micheal Jalaeian is an aspiring, tech-savvy entrepreneur striving to develop innovative solutions to make the world a better place. Micheal’s passion and interest for tech start-ups lead to accepting Medical Wearable Solutions as a client in his marketing agency. After getting to know the founders and learning more about the company, its mission, and its products, he decided to join the team as the marketing director. He has been working alongside the founders to create the best possible experience for early adopter investors and consumers who are stepping into the new age of medical wearable technology.

Mehul Desai, MD, MPH
Dr. Mehul Desai is board certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Desai is the Founder and President of the International Spine, Pain & Performance Center. Dr. Desai maintains an avid interest in research, serving as the principal investigator on multiple ongoing clinical trials including studies on radiofrequency ablation and spinal cord stimulation. He serves as a member of the steering committee of the largest clinical trial investigating the efficacy of spinal cord stimulation in chronic low back pain following spine surgery.
